update on LG's eyes

LG did great during her surgery today! He only lasered her right eye. He will watch her left eye closely to make sure she doesn't need surgery. The Dr. seemed pleased with the surgery but we won't know the outcome until her eye heals. The Dr. will be back to check her eyes next week. They didn't have to intubate her which was a blessing. The nurse said she was extremely fussy afterwards-can you blame her? She has gone 9 days without a heart rate drop so she will probably get off caffeine in the next day or two!

Callen took 2 bottles consecutively this morning...YIPPEE! The nurse said that if he gains a good amount of weight in the next few days he will probably go to a crib. He was able to come off of his caffeine two days ago. It's looking like LG and Callen are getting closer to coming home, although we are still probably a few weeks away.

Sutter has been really fussy the last few days. The pediatrician told us we could give him gas drops. If anyone has any other suggestions I would love to hear them! It's so frustrating when he cries and there's nothing I can do for him. :( He is eating well which is good. He is on a combination of a high calorie formula and breast milk. Thanks for your continued prayers! Today was my original due date. It's hard to believe the babies have already been here for 12 weeks! We have been so blessed that none of the babies have had major complications. We could have faced intestinal problems, heart problems, hydrocephalus and the list goes on and on. God is good!

  1. I'll second the pediatricians opinion on the gas drops. Nicole was incredibly fussy as well, and those seemed to help. I can understand the frustration, it's hard knowing that something is bothering them, and nothing you do seems to help. Still praying for ya'll!
